Livingseas: Where Ocean Conservation Meets Sustainable Interior Design

Since opening, Livingseas has married two passions: exploration of the deep and care for what lies beneath the waves. Located in Padang Bai, this dive centre is more than a portal to Bali’s underwater wonders, it’s an active player in coral reef restoration, conservation education, and sustainable diving practice.
In partnership with ChopValue, Livingseas’ interior design choices echo its environmental values. Tables, stools, and surfaces built from our recycled chopsticks are not merely decorative, they symbolize the organisation’s broader ethos of circular design, reuse, and reducing waste.
But the sustainability story doesn’t stop at furniture. Livingseas is setting up Bali’s largest coral reef restoration site. Through its Coral Planting Project, divers rescue broken coral fragments, reattach them to reef structures called Reef Stars, and nurture their return to health. These efforts are complemented by dive education programs that emphasise not just technique but responsibility, diving go hand in hand with caring for the ocean.
By combining thoughtfully upcycled design, locally-rooted conservation, and educational outreach, Livingseas shows luxury, beauty, and environmental stewardship need not be separate. Here, guests don’t just visit; they become part of a living commitment to the marine environment.
