Hayes and Martin are homegrown Montrealers opening the much-anticipated ChopValue MTL location as an independent franchise. The City of Montreal is working towards becoming zero waste by 2030 and the duo plans on leading the change using the circular economy as a tool to reduce waste wherever they can. Hayes et Martin sont des Montréalais d'origine qui ouvrent le très attendu ChopValue MTL en tant que franchise indépendante. La ville de Montréal s'efforce d'atteindre l'objectif de zéro déchet d'ici 2030 et le duo prévoit de mener le changement en utilisant l'économie circulaire comme outil pour réduire les déchets partout où il le peut.

Hayes’ entrepreneurial spirit and passion for building and manufacturing led him to start H.N. Design in 2013, specializing in millwork and metalwork for custom interiors across North America. With sustainability as a core value, the team often implemented reclaimed wood and found new ways to recycle their waste. L'esprit d'entreprise de Hayes et sa passion pour la construction et la fabrication l'ont amené à lancer H.N. Design en 2013, spécialisé dans la menuiserie et la métallerie pour les intérieurs personnalisés à travers l'Amérique du Nord. La durabilité étant une valeur fondamentale, l'équipe met souvent en œuvre du bois récupéré et trouve de nouvelles façons de recycler ses déchets.

Martin has been with ChopValue Corporate as our production lead for almost 2 years, gaining a strong foundation of the production process and appreciation of lean manufacturing. With prior experience in building the chopstick recycling network, Martin is excited to help grow the local community and transition from employee to business owner making a positive impact in his hometown. Martin travaille pour ChopValue Corporate en tant que responsable de la production depuis près de deux ans, ce qui lui a permis d'acquérir une solide connaissance du processus de production et d'apprécier la production allégée. Fort de son expérience dans la mise en place du réseau de recyclage des baguettes, Martin est enthousiaste à l'idée de contribuer au développement de la communauté locale et de passer du statut d'employé à celui de propriétaire d'une entreprise ayant un impact positif dans sa ville natale.
